Welcome to:

As described in
Western Mining History

Historic Downtown Yreka is becoming a destination for shopping and dining. There are also coffee places, confections and art studios. A renaissance, of sorts, is taking place. Local people are offering goods and services, with attention to details and customer service, in a way that is reminiscent of times when small town shops were the foundation of every community.

AcClaim Yreka is a shop that offers an eclectic display of vintage and handcrafted items. In house brands include Outpost Arts Leather, Boonywear Apparel, Nature's Paper and more...

Outpost Arts Leatherwork focuses on leather bound journals and journal covers, checkbook covers, card wallets, valets, purses and more.

Boonywear Apparel focuses on shirts and caps made expressly for  individual small towns. Boonywear Apparel was originally Double-X-Brand and depicted the State of Jefferson logo on shirts and caps but that brand was borrowed with the recent popularity of the movement. We still carry the classic Jefferson caps and shirts, along with our new line.

Letterpress printing is another facet we bring to the shop. We have a vintage Challenge proof press that is a flatbed with heavy cast iron roller. It prints surprisingly well the print blocks we have in stock or laser cut wood blocks. Along with the Challenge is a Chandler and Price tabletop platen press. With these we print cards, prints for framing and more. We have done work for a couple of labels for wineries in Napa Valley.

Nature's Paper handmade paper from India. Although imported 20 years ago, this paper is premium for art projects, journals, scrapbooking, prints, cards and more.

Wine Barrel Art is taking apart a white oak wine barrel and making a sign or chair other neat thing out of it. A few examples are in stock now.

Downtown Yreka offers many photographic opportunities for those interested in California gold rush era history and architecture.
